Drip emails are a series of emails that send automatically, one after another, over days or weeks. You write them once and set the timing. After that, each new lead gets the emails on their own, with nothing to send by hand. In SiteStakes, a set of these emails is called a sequence.

Use drip emails any time you want to stay in touch with a lead over time, instead of sending one message and stopping. Common cases:

• A new lead fills out a form and you want to follow up right away.
• Someone downloads an ebook and you want to nurture them toward a call.
• A lead goes quiet and you want to stay top of mind.
• You want every lead to get the same strong follow-up, every time.

Drip emails handle your follow-up for you. The main benefits:

• You save time. The emails send on their own once you set them up.
• No lead slips through the cracks. Every lead is followed up, even when you are busy.
• Your follow-up stays consistent. Each lead gets your best message, in the right order.
• You build trust. Steady, helpful emails keep you top of mind until a lead is ready.
• You convert more leads. Most leads need several touches before they act, and an automated follow-up delivers them for you.

Drip emails are conversion vehicles - they warm up your leads over time so when they're ready to close the deal, you're the one they come to.

If you do not want to start from a blank email, load a ready-made set written for real estate leads:

1. From the left navigation menu, "Squeeze Forms and SMS" > All Forms
2. Click to edit the form you want to automate
3. From the top bar, click "Automations" > "Add Automation"
4. Action Type: - Choose "Start Drip Sequence"
5. Choose the drip sequence that fits your leads. SiteStakes includes sets for sellers, buyers, wholesale, land, rentals, apartments, and agents.
6. The emails load in already written.
7. Edit the wording so it sounds like you.

You can also pick a template when you first create a sequence.

From the automation screen (see screenshot above), click "Manage Drip Sequences →". You can also access this from the left navigation menu, Squeeze Forms and SMS > Sequences

From here you can add a new sequence or clone an existing one.

Write your message in the rich text editor. You can:

• Make text bold or italic.
• Add a link.
• Add a bullet or numbered list.
• Insert an image.

Keep your paragraphs short so the email reads well on a phone.

Use merge tokens. Put your cursor where you want a detail, then pick a token from the menu. Common tokens are:

• {{lead.first_name}} — the lead's first name.
• {{site.name}} — your company name.
• {{site.city}} — your city.
• {{site.phone}} — your phone number.

When the email sends, each token becomes the lead's real details.

Email layouts allow you to change how an email looks.

Once you've saved a drip sequence, "Edit" the sequence to edit individual emails.

From here you can pick a layout for each email. Choose the one that fits the message.

Manage your steps from the step list:

• Add a step for each new email.
• Clone a step to reuse an email you already wrote.
• Drag steps to put them in the order you want.

First, click Preview to see the email the way a lead will. The preview shows:

• Your layout, logo, and colors.
• The tokens filled with sample details.
• The footer, with your business details and an unsubscribe link.

Then send yourself a test to check it in a real inbox:

1. Open the email step.
2. Click Send Test.
3. Enter the address to send to.
4. Open the test email and check the wording, links, and images.

The test sends through your connected email provider. See send test emails for more. Once your drip sequence emails preview and test well, set the sequence to Active.
