How to Choose a Style Pack for Your Real Estate Website

To choose a style pack for your real estate website, open your back office, go to the Style Packs page, and apply one from the gallery. SiteStakes ships with 12 style packs — three Basic packs and nine Premium packs — each with its own design personality. Every new site comes with a sensible default; switching takes one click and applies instantly. Setup takes 2 to 3 minutes.

What is a style pack?

A style pack is the same thing as a design or template — it's the colors, fonts, and visual style that gets applied across every page of your website. SiteStakes calls them "style packs," but think of them as designs or templates. The concept is identical.

A style pack differs from a full website template (like the kind you'd download from a marketplace) in one way: it changes only the look, not the structure. Your pages, blocks, content, and layout stay exactly the same — your blog post is still a blog post in the same arrangement, your homepage still has the same sections in the same order.

The style pack just dresses everything in new colors, typography, and effects.

SiteStakes ships with 12 style packs ready to use. Three are Basic packs (clean, professional, included with every plan). Nine are Premium packs (richer designs with gradients, bold accents, and refined typography — unlocked on Pro plans or with a one-time add-on).

To get started, pick a pack and click Apply. Your whole site updates instantly.

Choose style pack

Where do you choose website style packs for your real estate site?

To choose your style pack, go to Design → Style Packs in your back office.

  1. Open your back office.
  2. In the sidebar, click Design → Style Packs.
  3. The Style Packs page loads with a grid of color preview cards. Your current pack shows a green Active badge.

The intro card at the top of the page explains what style packs do. Below that, the grid of available packs displays — Basic packs first, then Premium packs.

What does a style pack actually change?

Style packs (also called designs, templates, or design preset packs) control four groups of visual elements across your site.

Colors are the first group. Style packs perform a complete palette swap across primary brand color, accent color, background color, and text color. These appear in headers, buttons, links, and section backgrounds.

Typography is the second group. A font pairing swap updates heading fonts and body fonts together, alongside font weights and letter spacing. These apply across page titles, paragraphs, navigation labels, and footer text.

Buttons and cards are the third group. Component style settings include the corner radius (sharp vs rounded), shadow depth (flat vs lifted), hover effects, and border styles. Premium packs may include richer effects like animated glows or subtle gradients.

Premium effects are the fourth group, available on Premium packs only. These include gradient backgrounds, glassmorphism (frosted glass card backgrounds), shimmer hover states, gradient text, and animated transitions.

A style pack does not change: your page structure, the blocks on each page, your content, or your navigation. Style packs are visual skins — the bones of your site stay the same.

How do you preview a style pack?

To preview a style pack, click 👁️ Preview on any pack card. A live preview opens showing your real site rendered with the new pack.

  1. Find a pack you're interested in.
  2. Click 👁️ Preview.
  3. The preview modal opens with an iframe showing your real site — your real content, your real pages — but rendered with the new pack.
  4. Scroll through the preview to see how the homepage, blog, and other pages would look.
  5. To close the preview, click outside the modal or press Escape.

To compare Premium packs against your current pack, use live preview. Every plan can preview every pack, including Premium packs not yet unlocked on your plan.

How do you apply a style pack?

To apply a style pack, click Apply Style Pack on the card you want. This lets you change website design one click at a time, with every page updating instantly.

  1. Find the pack you want to use.
  2. Click Apply Style Pack.
  3. Wait for the green confirmation: "Style pack applied successfully!"
  4. The page reloads and the new pack's green Active badge appears on your selected card.
  5. Open your real site in a new tab to confirm the changes are live.

Changes apply immediately across every page — homepage, blog posts, location pages, contact page, every one.

What's the difference between Basic and Premium packs?

Basic packs are the three default-quality style packs. Premium packs are the nine higher-design packs with richer effects. Together they give you 12 investor website style options to pick from.

Basic packs provide clean, professional colors and simple typography for a fast, reliable look. The three Basic packs are: Minimal Light, Modern, and Trust Blue. Every plan can preview Basic packs, but only Grow and Pro plans can apply them — Basic plan stays on its default pack.

Premium packs add richer palettes, gradients, bold accents, and refined type styles. The nine Premium packs include personality-driven looks like Bold Energy, Miami Modern, Beverly Hills, Luxury Black Gold, Luxury Gold, Modern Gradient, Approachable, Subtle Blue, and Trust Blue Premium. Premium packs are available on Pro plans or any plan with the Premium Styles add-on.

To get Premium access on Basic or Grow, take one of two paths: upgrade your plan or purchase the Premium Styles add-on (a one-time unlock for your account).

Why does style pack choice matter?

Your style pack is the design or template that gives your real estate website its visual identity. The right real estate website palette is the first visual impression a visitor gets — what they see in the first 100 milliseconds before they read anything. A pack that matches your business personality builds instant trust; a default pack that doesn't match makes your site feel generic.

For example, a high-end agent serving luxury markets benefits from Beverly Hills or Luxury Gold — palettes that signal premium service. A friendly investor working with stressed homeowners benefits from Approachable or Trust Blue — palettes that signal warmth and reliability. A modern wholesale operation in a hot urban market suits Bold Energy or Miami Modern — palettes that signal energy and motion.

Picking the right pack also separates your site from competitors who default to standard looks. Most real estate websites use stock themes that look interchangeable. A distinctive style pack gives your site a memorable visual identity that builds brand recognition over time.

What default pack does my site come with?

Your site comes with a default style pack determined by your site type and your plan. SiteStakes picks a pack that suits each combination so a new site looks professional out of the box.

Buyer-focused sites (buying, wholesale) default to Modern on Basic and Bold Energy on Grow and Pro. Seller and trust-focused sites (selling, land, agent, apartments) default to Trust Blue on Basic and a Premium trust-style pack on Grow and Pro. Rental sites default to Minimal Light on Basic. Notes investing and mobile home sites default to Modern on Basic and personality-matched Premium packs on higher plans.

To change from the default, follow the apply steps above. The default is a starting point, not a lock.

Frequently asked questions

Is a style pack the same as a template or design?+

Yes — they all mean the same thing. SiteStakes calls them style packs, but other website builders call them themes, designs, or templates. The concept is identical: a complete visual look that applies across your entire site.

Will switching style packs change my content?+

No. Style packs change colors, fonts, and visual effects — nothing else. Your pages, blog posts, content, and structure all stay exactly as you left them.

Can I customize colors within a pack instead of switching packs?+

Yes. Below the style pack grid, you'll find a color customizer. To customize colors, override individual values on top of your current pack. The pack stays the same, but specific colors get your custom values. Useful when a pack is 95% right but the primary color clashes with your logo.

Can I make my own style pack from scratch?+

No, not currently. To get a custom look, pick from the 12 available packs and optionally customize their colors using the color customizer below the grid.

Does my style pack affect SEO or page speed?+

No. All packs are equally optimized for SEO and load speed. Premium packs include richer visual effects, but they're CSS-driven, so the performance impact is negligible.

What happens if I upgrade my plan after picking a pack?+

Your selected pack stays selected. Upgrading just unlocks more packs you can switch to. You don't have to re-pick. Browse the Help Center for more on plan upgrades.

What if I downgrade and my current pack is no longer available?+

Your site keeps using the pack you selected, even after downgrade. You just can't switch to other locked packs. Your existing styling is preserved.

Can different sites under the same tenant use different style packs?+

Yes. Style packs are set per-site. A buyer site and a seller site under one tenant can use completely different packs.
