How to Generate Location Pages for Your Real Estate Website

To generate AI location pages for your real estate website, go to your back office, SEO → 📍 Location Pages, add the cities you serve, and click Generate. AI writes a unique page per city in about 30 to 60 seconds. Each generation costs 3 AI credits and runs a similarity check that blocks doorway page penalty risk before publishing.

What are location pages?

Location pages are individual landing pages — one per city you serve — that target local SEO city pages keywords like "we buy houses in Phoenix." Some platforms call them city pages. Same thing. Each has its own URL (/areas/phoenix-az), H1, FAQ set, and LocalBusiness schema.

Google can't rank you in a city you don't mention. If you serve 10 cities but only have a homepage, you're invisible in 9 of them. The point of this feature: generate city landing pages investor website style — one per city — so you can rank in every city in your service area. SiteStakes builds them in minutes, each one designed to pass Google's doorway-page filters.

Four layout variants shuffle the section order, so no two cities look identical. Every page links back to a central /areas hub page.

Where do you manage your location pages?

  1. Open your back office.
  2. In the left sidebar, click SEO → 📍 Location Pages.
  3. The Location Manager loads — stats bar at the top (published count, plan limit, AI credits), city table below.

How do you add a city?

To add a city, click Add City and pick one.

  1. Click Add City.
  2. The picker opens with two tabs: From Service Area (cities within your ZIP radius, pre-loaded) and Custom (type a city + state, SiteStakes fills the rest from its 33,000-ZIP database).
  3. Tick the cities you want.
  4. Click Add Selected.

New cities appear with status Pending. If you haven't set your service area yet, do that first — it pre-loads nearby cities for you. See how to set up your service area.

How do you generate a location page?

To generate a location page, click Generate next to a pending city.

  1. Find the city in the table.
  2. Click Generate. The button shows ⏳ Working… and status flips to Generating.
  3. Wait 30 to 60 seconds. The row reloads with status Published (or Draft if similarity flagged it).

Each generation costs 3 AI credits. Your balance shows in the stats bar.

The AI writes a unique headline, intro, FAQ set, and process steps using your site type, the city, county, state, and metro data. Layout variant shuffles across cities — your first might lead with process steps, your second with testimonials.

How does the similarity check work?

Every generated page runs through a similarity check before publishing. The system compares your new page against every other location page on your site, strips common real estate words and city names, then scores the unique city content.

  1. Under 15% — ✅ Publishes immediately.
  2. 15% to 70% — ⚠️ Publishes with a warning. Edit if you want it more unique.
  3. 70% to 90% — 📝 Saved as draft. Edit in Page Builder, then publish manually.
  4. Over 90% — 🚫 Blocked. The system tells you which existing page is too similar.

This is how you avoid the doorway page penalty. Pages that pass at under 15% are unique enough that Google treats them as legitimate local landing pages.

How do you preview and publish?

To preview a published page, click 👁️ in the city's row. A new tab opens at /areas/{city-slug}.

To edit, open the page in Page Builder. Add local testimonials, mention specific neighborhoods, or tweak the hero. Drafts (saved by the similarity check) stay offline until you publish manually from Page Builder.

How do you regenerate or bulk-generate?

To regenerate, click 🔄 next to a published city. Confirm — it overwrites the page and runs the similarity check again. Costs another 3 credits.

To bulk-generate all pending cities, click Generate All (N) in the stats bar. SiteStakes checks you have enough credits, then runs them sequentially with a live progress counter ("⏳ 3/5").

Frequently asked questions

How many location pages can I publish?+

It depends on your plan. The stats bar in the Location Manager shows your current count and your limit. Pages over the limit stay as drafts.

Does the AI write the same content for every city?+

No. The AI gets the city, county, state, population, metro, and your site type. It writes a unique headline, intro, FAQ, and process steps for each. Four layout variants also shuffle the section order.

What if my city has unique local data — neighborhoods, landmarks?+

Open the page in Page Builder after generation and add them manually. Local details push your similarity score down and your local relevance up.

Will Google penalize AI-generated location pages?+

Only if they're doorway pages — near-identical content with just the city name swapped. The similarity check prevents that. Pages under 15% similarity are genuinely unique and Google treats them as legitimate.

What happens to my pages if I downgrade my plan?+

Pages over the new limit move to draft — offline until you remove others or upgrade again.

Can I edit a generated page?+

Yes. Open it in Page Builder anytime. Edits don't re-run the AI or the similarity check unless you click Regenerate.

Do I need to set up my service area first?+

Yes. Your service area pre-loads nearby cities into the picker. Without it, you have to type each city manually.

Do location pages get their own schema?+

Yes. Every page includes LocalBusiness (or RealEstateAgent / ApartmentComplex depending on site type), FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList. No setup needed — it's automatic.
