How to Track Your Keyword Rankings With the Page Rank Tracker

The Page Rank Tracker handles keyword rank tracking for your site: it checks where you rank for the keywords you choose. Every week it runs each keyword the way a seller in your market would search it, then records four things:

• Your position in Google's organic results, and how it changed
• Your spot in the map pack (the local box with three business listings)
• Whether Google's AI Overview, ChatGPT, and Perplexity cite your site
• What each AI answer actually said

You'll find it in your back office under SEO → Rank.

Two things need to be in place:

• Your plan. The Page Rank Tracker is available on Grow and Pro. If you're on Basic, you'll see a locked panel instead of the tracker.
• A connected custom domain. Tracking checks a real domain against Google, so your site needs its own domain connected first. Until then you'll see a prompt to connect one.

Your plan sets how many keywords you can track: 30 on Grow, 100 on Pro. When you reach the limit, stop tracking a keyword you no longer need and the slot frees up straight away.

There are two ways to add a keyword.

Type it in. Enter the phrase in the box at the top and click Track keyword. Use the exact phrase a seller would type, including the city — "sell my house fast dallas" rather than "sell house".

Each row is one keyword.

• Google — your Google position in the organic results. "Not in top 100" means your site wasn't found in the first 100 results.
• Change — movement since the previous weekly check. "▲3" means you moved up three spots. "new" means you just started ranking.
• Map pack — your spot in the local map box, where "near me" searches send leads.
• AI Overview / ChatGPT / Perplexity — whether each AI answer cites your site.
• Searches and CPC — monthly search volume and what advertisers pay per click, so you can judge whether a keyword is worth the effort.

The AI columns use three states:

• ✓ cited — your site is one of the sources in that answer.
• shown, not you — an AI answer appeared, but it cited other sites instead of yours.
• — — no AI answer appeared for that search, or there's no data yet.

Click any row to expand it. You'll see:

What the AI answers say — the actual answer text from Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, plus which page they cited. This shows you what a seller reads when they ask, and who gets named.

Who ranks above you — the pages currently outranking you for that exact search. Click ⚔ Analyze on any of them to open the Competitor Analyzer with that page and keyword pre-filled, for a head-to-head against your own page.

Create the article — if nothing on your site targets the keyword yet, click ✍ Create Blog Article for this keyword to open the blog wizard with the keyword loaded.

Below the table, SiteStakes lists the domains that appeared in Google's top 10 for your tracked keywords over the last 30 days. For each one you'll see how many of your keywords it beats you on, how often it appeared, its best position, and its typical position.

⚔ Analyze opens the Competitor Analyzer with that competitor's strongest page pre-filled.

Click the ✕ at the end of a row to stop tracking a keyword. Its history is kept, and you can restore it from the list of removed keywords below the table.
